You will need to choose 4 of the stories from the text. I wrote the page numbers on the left whiteboard for you.
They will need to fill out the chart “Odysseus/Ulysses Heroic (and not so heroic) Behavior Chart.” Make sure you write your names on right off!! They can be bulleted but the boxes need to be full to score the full amount of points—go above and beyond. You may work with a partner, but your answers and words need to be their own—period.
If you get done—start filling out the back side “Odysseus as a Hero.” This section will be actually starting to find quotes that support your idea of Odysseus being a hero or an anti-hero. You'll need 6 quotes for either side (they will need to choose their side!). You will probably need to help on this part.
(Anti-hero---Cyclops is great! And Circe because he hides the truth from his men & cheats on his wife multiple times, Calypso—sleeps with her for seven years)
(Hero---Circe because he sacrifices himself for his men, Lotus Eaters he rescues them knowing the risk, Sirens he endures the sounds to get them through safely)
